AS/400 printing
How can I have one of my users to hold an as/400 job in one of our network printers, then whenever she wants to, she can released them !!! she doesn't have as/400 authority to access the to the command entry.

Then I assume the application is menu driven.

When we create a user profile, we also create an OutQ of the same name with the start print writer as *NONE.
(I'm doing this from memory, so it may not be exact.)

We provide a menu option to display their OutQ. Then they can use opt. 2 to change the OutQ to an OutQ that has an active writer.

Simple as that. The users get the idea very quickly.

PS: Did I mention that it is a GREEN Environment idea?
