When we create a user profile, we also create an OutQ of the same name with the start print writer as *NONE. (I'm doing this from memory, so it may not be exact.) We provide a menu option to display their OutQ. Then they can use opt. 2 to change the OutQ to an OutQ that has an active writer. Simple as that. The users get the idea very quickly. PS: Did I mention that it is a GREEN Environment idea? Phil Murray Information Systems
