At the company i work for we have about 15 Laser Printers that should be getting ended and started every morning. Throughout the day however, some printers will randomly end on there own and we then need to start them back up. Sometimes we get the MSGW and can't respond to it so we then have to end it immediatly and start it back up and then it prints again. Any information would be helpful. thanks.

We had this problem after the V6R1 installation. We changed the 'Printer Error Message' parameter on WRKDEVD for each printer from '*INQ' to '*INFO'. This solved the problem except for printers using an AXIS 'box'. If anybody has information on that situation. please reply. Reg

Reg, All of our printers are set to *INFO, but I think I will change the one that's giving us problems to *INQ. Worst case I will just have to change back to *INFO. I will let you know if that works. Thanks.
