AS/400 errors
Hello,
We have multiple IBM AS400 machines (150, 250, 520) which run various programs. Recently we purchased a new Power 6 machine for the 1st time. However when running a particular program we get the following error:

Job 016561/QSECOFR/DSP01 started on 01/20/11 at 15:42:40 in subsystem QBASE
CPF1336 received by JOBPRT at 5000 (C D I R)
This error has us baffled as we run this program along with its libraries on other machines and they work fine.
Any form of assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The program is trying to do a CHGJOB command.
Have you looked at the prior message in the joblog?
Did you just put the object on the new box or did you actually recompile the program?
It could be an authority issue or one of the parms on the CHGJOB command is invalid

Without know ing what error was reported, we can't know why CPF1336 was sent. The CPF1336 simply tells you that an error happened on the CHGJOB command and that you need to review and fix the error before the program will work. The message text includes "See the messages listed previously, if any." You need to look for any messages before the CPF1336 to see any/all of the conditions that caused the command to fail. These earlier messages should show in the joblog as "Diagnostic" messages. Tom

The problem was caused by the actual program as it was searching for a printer description that was not created. Thank guys for the assistance. Much appreciated.
