AS400 Job Status
One job is getting submitted from Web to AS400 Server. I am getting TIMW Status. What is the reason for this status? How to solve this issue

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

IBM says the system does not control the TIMW status. That is application specific. Usually the job has a sleep()-like function or a wait in the code. Or, their is some communication latency between your web server and the AS400. TIMW means the system is waiting for the next program step to occur. Look at your Web processes.

It's unlikely that anyone here can tell you what your job is doing. We don't know what command is running in the job, what program was called, what the program instructions are... Whoever wrote the program is the one you need to be asking. Tom

As you said, after submitting an job it came into status TIMW(waiting for an thread for period of time)Normally Job is been made up of collection of threads, after executing the thread, it will wait for another thread to get come in for execution. That period interval of time the status will go to TIMW status, No need to worry, actually the job is running , once it catches up the next thread the status will come into RUN status.
