Hi, We are using a tool (Viscom) which will read the ftp scripts from the QCTL (Another tool where FTP Scripts will be stored) and transfer the files to different ftp/as400 servers. We are trying to connect a FTP site from AS400 using the password as "acvy_p" and password as "10qp!)QP". When this command was executed, we are getting the below error "Number of arguments for a prompted login to the server not correct." Is there any logic where we cannot use special characters in password? Your quick suggestions are appreciated. The same username and password was accepted when i try interactively. When it was handled through the batch job by the tool (viscom) it was not accepting it. Regards Mahesh.R

I agree, though it’s hard to tell without any knowledge of what “Viscom” or “QCTL” are. I would assume that the ‘FTP’ is handled through API calls, so there’s no way to know what any messages mean nor what conditions brought them about.
