    CPF8A83 references a document not a file. Documents would be in the IFS not in QGPL

    CharlieBrowne seems right. If it really was QGPL, then the message should not be CPF8A83. One possibility is that a /QDLS path was the current directory and QGPL/filename was supplied. That could be interpreted as a 'relative' path. Please show us the FTP script. You might try a CD and a NAMEFMT command at the beginning of the script. Tom
