Does anyone know of an iSeries AS400 emulator that can be ran on i386/windows platform? Any insight would be great.

Answer Wiki:
I don't know if this emulator is still available, but try MochaSoft.
Not an AS400 emulator but a 5250 Terminal emulator...

MochaSoft does exist… www.mochasoft.dk/ $25 USD according to their website… they also have a free trial.

If you mean a terminal emulator, then Mochasoft is the sort of thing you are looking for, as well as the Client access software that is supplied with the iSeries.

However if you mean software that emulates an iSeries/AS400 environment on an Intel/Windows PC then I don’t know of anything like that but I’ll have a look.

I know that such software was available in the past for System/38 (Baby/38 was one) and System/36.

Can you clarify which of these you mean?

Hi,

The folks that did baby/36 went on to make baby/400 and now they do something called infiniteiseries.

Here’s a link :-

Hope this helps,

Looks like Baby/400 might still be available:

We use Symtrax on our home PCs. Works well. I have not used it for serious green screen work, such as SEU. However, the price is right.
