One of ours dump terminal started to act strange. It keeps doing putting letter “j” all over the sign on screen. I think someone accidentally press on keyboard. Do you have an idea what it could be or it just dead? When I turn terminal off and then turn it on, it bring me to “Customize Display” Screen.

Thanks.

I assume that you mean "dumb terminal". When you say "j" is shown all over the signon screen, do you mean that it is in the input fields or on parts of the screen that do not allow input? If it's only in input fields, I would suspect stuck keys. If it's on non-input areas, I would think that the logic unit had a problem. -- Tom

Sounds like it is in setup mode. Users can sometimes accidentally activate the setup/configure mode.If it's a terminal emulator such as an 'nlynx' omniterm, the setup mode is activated by pressing a combination of keys. You need to check the setup manual and by pressing the right combination of keys (ALT - SYSREQ ??) it will turn setup off.
