As400 direct IP printing to HP MFP (9050)

Customer using AS400, printing direct to IP address of a HP MFP, jobs are wanting to pull from Tray 1, is there anyway this can be changed to only pull from Tray4? Are there any header commands one can add to the job?

You could use <b>RPM’s string translator</b> and then print to raw action within RPM. This should easily solve your problem. RPM’s has an <a href=”http://www.as400tcpipprinting.com/as400-solutions.html”><b>AS400 printing tips</b></a> website that is pretty good. I’d call their tech’s, they’ll get you up and running in a few minutes.

There are also other freeware software that can do this for you automatically. Check for AS400 printing on the major internet software sites.

    also you could use a special purpose printfile for the job and set the printfile to use drawer 4 and overrides may or may not be needed if program output will not go to another printer . .
