You can use the RCVJRNE command to receive entries (or blocks of entries) into a program in near real-time as entries are added to the journal receiver. You can use the RTVJRNE command to retrieve specific entries (or blocks) into a CL program.

The Retrieve Journal Entries (QjoRetrieveJournalEntries) API can also be used to retrieve entries into programs.
