Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Why would you need to. It translates to the User Profile irregardless.
You can use the auto login feature and that will let you use lower case
Even Client Access uses Upper Case when logging in.

Passwords are case sensitive

Is this a question about a "console" session such as through a HMC? Or is it about using Mocha TN5250 for any terminal session? For general terminal sessions, why do you need to enter the user profile name as lower-case? Since a user profile name cannot be created with lower-case, there is no point in needing to enter it in lower-case. The Signon panel is going to convert every character to upper-case as soon as each character is typed. If you have a need to use lower-case user identifiers for terminal access, then you need to use a Single Sign On (SSO) solution. If Mocha supports SSO, then Mocha can still be used. Otherwise, you will need to use a different emulator. Tom

Thank you for your response. I am using for terminal session only. I will try with other emulators.

I will try with other emulators. You still won't be able to type lower-case into the Signon screen, no matter what emulator you use. If you implement a SSO solution, you shouldn't even see a Signon screen; so it wouldn't be an issue. You would be signed in automatically as long as you are (a) logged into your authentication service and (b) authorized to access your AS/400. But as long as you use AS/400 user profiles to sign on with, it will always be upper-case no matter what emulator it is. Every AS/400 user profile name must be upper-case. Tom
