I was saving all spool files using BRMS control group on a V4R5 system. Had an issue that the folder q1abrm was full. The job/BRMS was retrying to populate that folder for several hours. I exluded DEBUG and QEZJOBLOG outqs. How can I resolve this?

First, is this a “folder” object (object type *FLR) or a normal directory? If it’s a “folder”, then about the only way you can fix it is to reduce the number of documents that are stored in it. Create a new folder and start moving documents out of Q1ABRM into your new one.
How many spooled files do you have? Once they’re backed up, are they deleted from the folder?
Tom
This is a folder. The folder is Q1abrm. It creates a document inside the folder until the data is saved to tape. Once it’s done the document is erased by brms. You cannot move documents while jobs is running. I just saving spoof files. There not that many.
That makes sense. And how many spooled files do you have?
Also, what error do you receive? The message identifier is needed.
Tom
/QDLS/Q1ABRM/10991200.130/Q1A79432.SPL0000003784. Here is the message ID .CPF8A98. Folder Q1ABRM/10991200.130 is full No more documents or folders can be added to this folder.
NEVERMIND !!!! I found it. you can only have 65510 in documents in a folder. that explains it
