		<description><![CDATA[There are a couple of parms on the backup commands that allow for compression and compaction. 
Data compression may cause the backup to run longer - but then turning it off may require using more tape..

Backup less data,  buy faster drives.  Eliminate any waiting time due to locks / establishing save while active points. 


Move the backups in time - maybe backup journal receivers during daytime at low priority.]]></description>
