Hi, One of the file is locked abnormally with *LCKSPC with *SHRUPD. We could not able to release the lock even after tuning Subsystem down. Any better way to avoid this kind of locks on files? With WRKOBLCK we could able to get the below lock
Opt  Member      Job         User       Lock Type     Status     Share
Table1   *LCKSPC                    DATA          *SHRUPD   HELD

*LCKSPC                 DATA    *SHRUPD   HELD
*LCKSPC                 DATA    *SHRUPD   HELD
*LCKSPC                 DATA    *SHRUPD   HELD

*LCKSPC                 DATA    *SHRUPD   HELD
We are getting this kind of locks frequently. Please help! Thanks and Regards, P.Amutha

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Try this command

WRKCMTDFN JOB(*ALL) STATUS(*XOPEN)

there you can see list of commit definitions there you can take 12 (in case of new job) and end/kill/cancel corresponding job  , in case of old job u can take 14 or 16(force commit or force rollback)
