AS400 9406-800 with and 7116 Expanision unit System attention error
AS/400 Expansion Unit, AS/400 hardware, Initial Program Load, IPL error, System Attention Error 10112602
I got an AS400 9406-800 with and 7116 Expanision unit. I was able to get the AS400 up and running without the expansion unit. I can't get the expansion to power up, (Just makes a very small clicking sound, with no panel lights on). In the process I changed the IPL setting under the 07 option from the control panel. Now I keep getting 10112602 system attention error. I disconnected everything and still get the same error. It looks like it trying to tell me that the expansion unit is not powered. There is also two little green lights, near the plug connection. Number one and two. They both are on, during the IPL, and then I get system attention error and two is nolonger lit. How can I get it back to the point where I just run the AS400 without the expansion Unit?

Are you sure your power control and HSL cables are connected correctly? The HSL needs to be a complete loop. Also, if you are using an HMC you probably need to make sure all of the hardware is added to the system profile.
