What is the use of JOBQ and JOBD? What is the difference between JOBD and SBSD (Subsystem Description)? If we don't use the ADDJOBQE, where (in which subsystem) will the created JOBQ be stored?

what is the use of JOBQ , JOBD .?   A *JOBQ object is a job queue. It provides a queueing method for jobs. A *JOBD object is a job description. It provides a description for jobs.   and also want to know what is the difference between JOBD and SBSD(Subsystem Description). They describe two totally different things. One describes jobs; the other describes subsystem. It's like asking what the difference is between a description of an apple and a description of a horse.   if we dont use the ADDJOBQE, where(in which subsystem) the created JOBQ will be stored?   It will be stored in the same place whether you use ADDJOBQE or not -- it's stored in the library that it was created in (or moved to). A job queue entry has nothing to do with where the job queue is stored. Job queues are stored in libraries, not in subsystems.   This is not where these questions should be asked. You should use the Information Center to look those up. This forum is used when you run into a problem trying to use those objects.   Tom

Once submitted, jobs wait on the assigned jobq until they become active.

Just remember if you do not assign your JOBQ to a Subsystem to run in it will sit in the JOBQ and never run.
