Hi all, I am new to AS/400 (RPG Programming), We are facing a problem for last couple of days that our system started disconnecting frequently.
We are connected with AS/400 through iSeries access for Windows Version 5.7. While running normally it gets disconnected and when we ping the system it gives timeout while physically machine seems running normally. Unfortunately we don't have any IBM terminal to see what is happening and ultimately we have to restart the system. What could be the reason?
 Thanks in advance,

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

This is due to the lower version of IBM client access in your PC. Solution to fix this

Go to Task manger , In process tab, you can see the image name PCSWS.EXE & PCSCM.EXE will be running over there. Kindly end all the file and then open the client access application now, It will open and connect to the AS/400 server. You dont need to restart your PC to fix this issue.

First  thing to do is make sure that your LAN cable is properly connected to you network and vice versa. Are you using an OpsCon as your console? Restart your PC. But In guess you just have to recheck your TCPIP configuration.
