 APYJRNCHG
A friend of mine has an issue on hand: One of his team mates accidentally deleted a User Profile & its associated objects on the system. As a result the entire application has gone down now & is inaccessible. A complete backup (ref-A)was taken at this point. He has restored the database back from the previous night's status. He has then restored the journals from the backup (ref-A). Then he is trying to apply the journal changes to the restored objects, but isn't being successful. The msg 'transaction out of sequence' appears. Is there any thing that he might be missing out? Thank you

Answer Wiki:
sounds like you took the backuo after the event, and the journal restore will no longer fit the sequence of events. You need to go back to a point before the damage. Oh,. wait, this question was posted a year ago ... Do tell how you fixed this...

If the journal receivers (rather than the journal) contained the entries that represented changes to the files beginning at the point in time represented by the restore of the files, there shouldn’t be problems with APYJRNCHG. I suspect that the journal receivers that might have been restored were not complete. Additional, older receivers still needed to be restored.
