Some apps I downloaded cannot access my mobile network. When I open them, an error message pops up that I should turn on my network even though I am online with other apps like twitter.

Are they native Black Berry apps, or Android apps?

Android apps are run by an Android runtime on top of the Black Berry OS, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are more prone to failures when something happens on the device.

is there a pattern between the apps than run without issues and these ones?

Try downloading apps from playstore(Android). Please do search CRACKBERRY and they have the steps to do that. Good luck! Blackberry user here!

Actually, this kind of problem has no fixed cause. There are several causes behind this issue. At least as far as my knowledge. One way you can try to clear history and then reset the connections. Also uninstall the apps and again reinstall may work.
