 APPN session initiation attempt has failed.

Anybody know what causes this error or how to correct. Text says: an attempt to select a device description for an APPN session has failed. The problem identifieer is 0826760031. The error log identifier associated with this problem is x '800007AF'.

I don’t know. Where do I check to find out? (Someone else who’s no longer here received this error last Sept…they want me to check into this for next time.)

Hi,

Then everthing should configure automatically for the workstations. Can you try WRKPRB with the problem Id - it should give you an option to analyze the problem and then give you probable causes.

Of course, it’s also possible that when this problem occured (september) the auto config was switched off.

After doing WRKPRB, message says: No problem records available containing requested data. From what I’m hearing, this may be a non-problem now.
