I have provided a number of links for various example polices under your  how to prevent laptop from accessing my network question, but it hasn’t shown up yet as part of the thread. (When posts contain links, they seem to be delayed before appearing, or they never show up at all. I don’t know why.)
 
However, you can use the IT Discussions tab to scroll down to find the comment. See if any of those help you.
 
Can you explain what you mean by “an application policy”? What is the policy intended to describe?

I added a comment with links to sample policies. And I added a comment here a few minutes ago telling you that I added that earlier comment. But apparently I can’t tell you how to look at those comments because this editor keeps hiding them.
 
Try going to the ITKE Question & Answer page and scrolling through the IT Discussions tab. I would put a link in this comment that would take you there, but links seem to cause some comments to be hidden.
