Hi Melanie,
It would be helpful to know a little more about the data being backed up, Exchange, SQL, File Servers, any specific software/application, backup window(s) and hardware used.
Even so, being based on Windows, I would say that System Center Data Protection Manager from Microsoft would be a assertive choice.
You will probably want a D2D2T approach and DPM requires it. It's easy to get up and running and support.
Some might tell about BackupExec heaving more features, but also adds (your) administrative overhead.

You might look at EMC Avamar.
Hi Melanie,
As mentioned by saturno it depends on the type of applications being backup up, we recently moved over to Commvault which is a very powerfull backup and Archiving(Mail and Files) tool, we are very happy with it, but then yet again it also depends on the budget available,
Hope this helps,
Regards
