apple drops out from wireless network
Have set up an ADSL service thru LinkSys WAG54 gateway, works perfectly with XP/SP2 PCs, but an Apple laptop of recent model connects but drops out after a few minutes, requiring frequent reconnection action on the user's part. The gateway is using WPA/TSK encryption and the Apple has been configured with the key. Does anyone have any idea why the Apple falls off? (no Newtonian jokes please)

Answer Wiki:
Hi - I have an actiontech DSLwireless router and my Macbook and Macbook pro's both stay connected with no issue. I have also taken the MacBook to work and connected to the dlink we have there with no issues. Sounds like either your wireless access is questionable (doubtful), the airport card is turning off (could be faulty). I did find the following: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304482 (referred by: http://www.tuaw.com/2006/10/03/apple-issues-support-doc-for-wonky-airport-performance-on-intel/) Might want to check it out.
