 A/P Checks with signature

Can anyone help ? I have been looking at the sapscript that print the signature on the A/P checks. However not able to figure out where the signature is stored at.
I believe the signature is not stored in the printer, right ? A company logo would be stored as a TIFF file. However signature does not seem to be a file. Where is the signature coming from ? Pls throw in any ideas ?

Try storing in SE78 - we use company logo from there on our SmartForms. But please be aware of network load to printers during printing. If You print lot of documents on remote printers You should consider emedding logos in printers.

Hello, i found the signature. Thank you. However the signature that i upload (tif) does not go to the same location as the old signature. Do you know the correct criteria i should use in program ‘rstxldmc’ ? thanks.

Sorry Joyce but you’re going the wrong way about this.
The signature should be on a printer memory cartridge that is under lock (safe) and gets used under the 4 eyes principle.

Talk to your auditors they will have a lot to say about standard procedures.

Regarding rstxldmc program I cannot help You - I do not use TIFF. We use GIF only.
But be aware of the security aspect mentioned by fjbsaper.
(S)he is right about security policy, it’s Your decision based on security/costs/current environment(# of printers).

We also store the signature on the printer (from our CFO). Also, any other graphical instructions like font, spacing etc is stored in the printer. From sapscript we only generate plain courier text. The printer does the rest. The main reason to store all graphical info on the printer is to reduce network overhead.

Hello everyone, sorry for the late reply. Your suggestions to have the signature on the printer is a suggestion. For me, it is in a tif file. Thanks again to everyone who replied to this question. Much appreciated.
