 AOL Spammer IP Identification
Concerning the ever increasing amount of received spam, to battle this I have a program with which I can extract the IP address from the sender for reporting purposes, however, I have been receiving an increasing amount from AOL proxy server for which I cannot aquire the senders IP address. Is there another way I can uncover this IP that you or any of our readers knows of?

Answer Wiki:
Posting a copy of the header you are having a problem with would be most helpful in this case. Perhaps, your program is not digging deep enough to find the originating IP address. If the proxy server is the originating address, then there are two possibilities--the IP address is indeed the source, proxy or not, or the IP has somehow been spoofed. I've seen mail that has passed through 8 servers from origin to destination, so it may be likely you don't dig enough. Steve
