Maybe you can use Packet Tracer, from Cisco, for practice. You can simulate network configuration with Cisco devices, almost all of them. It can be used for learning for CCNA or someother use.

Great point Pop59: Packet tracer 5.3.1 can actually be usefull on working towards the CCNP Switch exam as well..
