Q:
anyone has experience using NBU 6.5 wot backup Lotus agents
I am running into problems where I have to bring down Domino server services to backup Lotus client(6.5) or Lotus Databases. Does anyone has any experience what needs to be configured to avoid bringing down domino server while running NBU backup

The problem you are having is that Domino locks open the databases that are in use. This can mean allot of the databases if the Domino server has been running system tasks such as fixup or updall etc. There are allot of vedours out there that have different ways of dealing with this and the tend to deal with this by having seperate Domino backup agents. These will access the Domino data even if the database is open etc.

Check out Symantec’s support site or speak to the company where you brought the licenses to see if you have the relevant license.
