 Alternative to EMC VisualSRM?

Could you kindly advise a competitive product against EMC VisualSRM Suite. I need to source for an alternative solution.

You could take a look at HDS HSSM which will work with anyone's storage or look at AppIQ which is the foundation for the HDS HSSM product. The market is much more mature now and you have lots of options.

You could also look at IBM’s ITSRM – Can go down to databases and files – depending on what you are trying to achieve – this might be a good fit.
Easy to set up and has lots of standard reports ready to give you an indicationas to what is happening on your storage.

we use a product called DART (data analysis and retention tool) by a company called attam – this is a saas based product but matches most of the functionality of EMC visual SRM and also interfaces to our Tivoli Storage Manager system to maintain include/exclude settings across our client estate…. worth a look.
