I have a table in SQL Server 2000 that has several null-able integer columns. These are not working for me so I'm trying to update all nulls to 0 and then set the columns as "NOT NULL" (But the data must be preserved).

Is there a specific SQL Syntax that could set the columns this way?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You will probably need to do it in 2 steps:

UPDATE yourTable SET yourColumn=0 where yourColumn IS NULL;
ALTER yourTable ALTER COLUMN yourColumn INTEGER NOT NULL;
