I had a problem with SMTP service with windows 2003 ( with exchange 2003) in relation to GFI security..basically, emails weren't going in or out of our Exchange server..
I had 2200 messages in pending submission queue, so I stopped SMTP service, stopped ALL GFI services.when I restarted SMTP ( without GFI running) , all messages were gone, but the never made it to the users' email boxes.. I have since restarted GFI and everything is now running smoothly as far as email going in and out is concerned...Any way to recover those messages? Where would they have gone to if they're not in users' email boxes, and no longer in the Pending Submission Queue?
