My work PC is running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 and Remote Desktop Connection Shell Version 6 (Build Number 6000), Control Version 6.0.6000. My home PC is running Vista Home Premium and Remote Desktop Connection Shell Version 6.0.60001, Control Version 6.0.6001. I can connect to my work PC from my home PC using Remote Desktop Connection without any problems. However when I disconnect the screen on my work PC will not come on. The PC is running and I can see the Disk Light flickering like it's processing. The only I can get back into my work PC is to do a hard boot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You John

Try upgrading your XP to SP3. This will update your remote desktop. But if you update Remoted desktop first you may encounter <a href=”http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/d/8/cd8cc719-7d5a-40d3-a802-e4057aa8c631/relnotes.htm”>problems.</a>
