As your are working in HW field, if the cost matter, it is better to do CompTia’s A+ (hardware). If you want to do network related then go for Network+ & Server+ certifications offer a general knowledge of network engineering and administration, respectively. This course helps to prepare for cutting-edge technology that will lead to an entry-level position. Of-course Cisco certifications are the best in networking area and prepare you for a career in network engineering. Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) is the first place that should start and if this is the area you want to go into. Above that, the CCNP (Network Professional) and CCIE (Internetworking Expert) are advanced classes that can lead to very high-paying positions. But these are costly than other courses.
If you opt for Server administration (win related) then try for MCSE. Or if you are using Linux OS then surely go for Novell Certs or Red Hat.
