Advanced Job Scheduler
I have a job scheduled in the JS ( I00DSQDL ) that runs daily ( except weekends ). This is the last job to run. I have another job I00P9000 that should be submitted on a specific date each month. ( This date varies from month to month ) Now I submit it by hand but would like to schedule it. My question is : If I schedule job I00P9000 as *SUCCJOB of I00DSQDL with Schedule Code *DATE will it skip job I00P900 daily and only submit it when the date is reached. Thank you in advance.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Hi,

These would be 2 separate jobs, right? The first job, ( I00DSQDL ), that runs daily and should continue to run as a daily job and the other job would just be a reactive job, on a given date, that will run separately. It would be the same as you submitting it manually, as you do currently, except it will run automatically in the Job Scheduler.

Hope that helps,

TPinky

Yes, I do have 2 seperate jobs but the problem is that job I00P9000 has no schedule code and is submitted manually. If I add it as succesor to the fisrt job I cannot possibly know when the first job ( predecessor ) will end. I have to add the date and time.
