 Administrator user rights
hello, i use Win XP Pro SP2. i have user in administrator group, but i want to disable this user change desktop properties. how can i do it? thanks.

Answer Wiki:
from run, gpedit.msc. in the group policy editor (this will only apply to the local machine), go to user configuration, administrative templates, control panel, display. Enable elements as you see fit. Note, no user will be able to make changes unless the policy is reset to mot configured.

What about the administrator? Also, can we assign this policy to particular user or group of users on local system

you can’t filter the policy locally that I am aware of but in AD you can filter the policy by OU, group, user, etc
