You can change the default value for the DUPLEX parameter on the CHGSPLFA and/or CRTPRTF command to *YES if that makes more sense for you, but it would be a system wide change.

To change the default use:

CHGCMDDFT CMD(CHGSPLFA) VALUE(‘DUPLEX(*YES)’)

or

CHGCMDDFT CMD(CRTPRTF) VALUE(‘DUPLEX(*YES)’)
