I'm looking for the requirements for adding 2 ,#4326, 35.1 GB disk units to my AS/400. I have the open slots and I need to know if I can user install these units. The unit is RAID 5 DASD.

Software/Hardware used:
AS400 9406-520 with OS400

The IBM System i5, eServer i5, and iSeries System Builder PDF for V5R4 should list all requirements. (You might need the prior version of that handbook.) In general, the major "requirements" should be that you have available disk slots. -- Tom

The unit is RAID 5 DASD. I have basic knowledge on the hardware. Can the disks be user installed or will I need an IBM CE for that.

Adding disks should be easy enough for customer installs. (I would do it. The Information Center has all needed info.) However, if you have a good hardware maintenance contract, and are not confident anyone available to you can do it, you should call hardware support and ask if it's available. -- Tom
