		<description><![CDATA[Is the DNS on the server you are trying to promote pointed to the domain controller for the existing server?  You also need to make sure that you have the forward lookup records in your DNS on the existing server for _msdcs/dc/_tcp.  This will contain a SRV record for all DCs.  Read the following article on how to verify the creation of SRV records in DNS Server: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/241515/EN-US/

		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for all your replies but I figured it out. Strangely enough....for some reason, my first domain controller was not setting up the A record for the child domain. I added the A reocrd manually and everything worked.
