Hello, I need to add a HD to an already existing RAID5. After I add the disk I need to extend my C volume to 25% and add the rest of the space to a D volume that I have created. Does anyone have any steps for these operations that they would care to share to make things easier for me? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

For guys who use Dell Server, it is easy to add additional disks to existing RAID 5 array with OMSA on the fly without rebuilding. After expanding the array capacity, you can use Partition Magic Server to add unallocated space to into C drive and.or D drive.

Step by step guide to add disks to RAID 5 with Dell OMSA: http://www.partition-magic.org/hardware-raid/add-disk-to-raid-5.html
