What causes a user with an AD account to not be able to log into a Mac running 10.5-10.7 if their user name is changed on the AD server? (happens due to marrage) This only happens when a user has a mobile account on the computer in question.

Software/Hardware used:
Server 2008 r2, osx 10.4-10.7

Though still now I don't do join MAC OS into AD domain, but connect Mac to samba share..... and if understood correctly ur issue, this could be happened AD might be configured to as: create mobile account at login, & home folder is specified in AD for the same user. Just u can try, but I am not so sure, do an update ur current Mac OS to 10.6 or later. Remember, it is always a good practice to take all necessary backups of ur valuable data before doing the job. It is best to do this kind of task on a Test computer, and if it will get success, then apply the same on real production environment. See here for more information
