Active Directory Disappeared

Active Directory 2000
I went to reset a user password, and my Active Directory disappeared from the Administrative Tools menu. When I tried to open it, a message box told me that the disk was full. When I clicked OK, the Active Directory disappeared. I since restarted the server twice, to no avail. I need to add new students to the directory, but I can't now. Any ideas what I can do?

Software/Hardware used:
Win Server 2K

I freed up HD space and restarted server. For some reason, my partition drive (c:) only has 13 mb on it. That seems awfully small. Either way, Active Directory is still gone. I waited ~24 hours, figuring it was reconfiguring, but it's still not there. Shouldn't it be under Start>Programs>Administrative Tools?

Hello, you can also remotely access Active Directory from another computer that is not a domain controller. One such example has been given in this link:   http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc757197%28v=ws.10%29.aspx   Else, you can also use free trial version of specialized tools such as this to perform the same thing remotely:   http://www.lepide.com/download-active-directory-reporting.html   These are certainly workarounds to perform your immediate tasks i.e. adding new students to AD. And you don’t need to see AD under Administrative Tools on your DC in these workarounds.    For fixing your original problem, I will turn back as soon as I get a solution.
