Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

In theory you can go to each workstation and modify the needed registry keys for each user.

It would be much easier and safer to use a GPO to make these changes however.

Why don’t you want to use a GPO?

When using GPO to redirect the Start menu it'll redirect all areas of the start ment, I've found it best to use a script to redirect areas seperatley. Example: Redirect the key below to a shared location to display network programs etc. HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Start Menu Direct the keys below to the local profile so that local programs are still available. HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\StartUp HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Programs Example line of script: WshShell.RegWrite "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Start Menu", "\\server\sysvol\sharedMenu", "REG_EXPAND_SZ" Hope this helps.
