In a Windows 2000 domain functional level, is there a command for searching for unneeded accounts (i.e. not used for 50 days, etc.)? I've tried AdFind but can't get it to run, or don't know how.

Software/Hardware used:
windows 2000 server from awindows 7 pc

Check out the most excellent OldCMP tool (does users too) found at http://joeware.net/freetools/tools/oldcmp/index.htm

Does more than reporting – so it can be dangerous.

You are asking for something that I wish there was,  We created a script for just that purpose, but instead of 50 days, we did it for 90 days, in the event that the person was out in the field or not in garrison, moved them into a hold OU and then after another 90 days, they would automatically delete themselves.  So, you will need to come up with your own solution or find someone that is very good at writing scripts.
