 Active Directory
Dos anyone know of a way to search Active Directory for an email address? When I go to add a particular email address to a group, AD says that the address already exists and can't be used again. I can search Users for email addresses, but not Groups...

Answer Wiki:
Is this Windows 2000 or 2003? With W2K3 you can build a custom search using ADUC and look for email address. You can also write an LDAP query and save the output to a csv file and then find the email address you are looking for using Excel. I don't know the specifics but there are a large number of predefined scripts at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/default.mspx

In addition to the things that you have already heard, you can right-click on the domain in which you originally created the e-mail address. Use the find or query tab inside of the window. There will be a box open up on the screen. There are many different options in the drop down boxes of this window. I think that e-mail addresses are included. I am on a plane fixing to head to Chicago. So I don’t have time to verify the info.
