Active Desktop, Active Desktop Recovery, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 administration
I am administering a Windows 2003 Domain. Some workstations got a white backgroung that says ACTIVE DESKTOP RECOVERY. I have tried to restore my active desktop unsuccessfully. Any of you have solution this problem?

I would try repairing the OS, and if that is not a feasable solution re-image the troublesome PCs.

ok, well you say here “Some workstations”. My first question is are all desktops the same OS and patch level, or are there differences? Are the ones you cannot recover the active desktop on different in OS or patch level than the ones not experiencing this problem?
