Accessing previous addresses for business partners in SAP

I need to be able to report the address that a business document was sent to at the time the document was created in SAP R/3 version 4.6C. Currently, we only seem to be able to access the customer's current address using the address number on the document. Based on a little research I've done, think that if I could force SAP to assign a new address number when an address field is changed, I'd have a good solution but I haven't been able to figure out how to do this. Can anyone help?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you go to table VBPA with your sales document number, you will find the partners on your sales order. Each of the partners has an address number associated with it. You can then use this address number to search the ADRC table and get your addresses that are tied to that document number.
Hope that helps.
