Accessing Oracle from Mainframe

One of our project is looking for information about accessing data in ORACLE from MAINFRAME applications (Z/OS). The data is lying on Oracle which is in a separate server and the IBM mainframe system (by using COBOL programs) need to access data from Oracle.

I heard that Oracle has stopped its support for zOS products such as 'Oracle Access Manager for CICS/IMS'. Would like to find another method that will allow the Oracle data to be accessed from the mainframe applications.

Has anyone done this or do you have suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If accessing the data on the Oracle database through a REST interface sounds like a feasible option, take a look at ORDS.
