My client has given following information to access their FTP server. How can I do this from AS/400 FTP Client?........................ The external client/vendor will access the FTP server by following the instructions below using the SSL capable FTP client of their choice: • Host:ftps.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com (note this is not the same as the unsecured accounts URL and it will NOT work in a web browser.) • Port: 990 • Server type/Protocol: FTP over SSL/TLS (implicit encryption) • Use "passive mode" transfer settings • Username*: • Password*: • Accept the certificate when prompted. This should open a window that is either blank because there are no files there yet or contains a single test ftp text document. Your client/vendor will now be able to copy and paste files to and from this window to upload and download from the FTP server. Other FTP account folders will not be visible or accessible when accessing this folder.
