Hi Dear Team members,
i'm currently working as an IT and system administrator i have implement a windows 2003 server just for file and DHCP, i'm using a Linksys as my gateway, and 6 other Linksys router that i'm using as APs,
i trying to set ACL on my gateway router but just when i log into my router and start setting ACL block some PCs using either their MAC or their IPs all the internet goes down when i remove restriction it comes back up,
my question is: is there any type of configuration that i should do and i didn't?, is there any additional equipment's that i should use?
please i need help as all my senior team are behind me because of this issue, and they want some of the staff to just have access to some application and some ports as POP and SMTP only, this is giving me headache that why i have registered to ITKNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE

Answer Wiki:
It may be trying to hit an item on the list. If it matches no rule, the check falls through the bottom of the list. For security, this is a good thing. For a user, this can be bad. End the list with Allow 0.0.0.0 (or your local equivalent. This ensures non-blocked packets get through.
