I created a vpn tunnel connecting 2 of my offices together using a Linksys RV016 at the main office and a Linksys WRV54G at a branch office. The main office is using 192.168.0.x and the branch using 192.168.2.x. I am able to ping all of the pc's at the branch from the main office and I can also ping all of the main office pc's from the branch pc's.
The problem is I can not ping our iSeries(192.168.0.220) system from the branch. I can hit every system except that. I also can not ping the branch pc's from the iSeries system. Is there some setting on the iSeries that will block requests from anything outside of its subnet? Or maybe I am missing something simple. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

John, thanks for taking the time to post that you’d found the answer to your problem. Much appreciated.
John, I am having the same issue at the moment but I’m not as familiar with the iSeries, How is the default gateway set and to which gateway do you speak.( i.e. the branch’s or the main office’s.)
I am not an iseries guru so maybe someone else can help more if this doesn’t answer your question.. but I was able to find instructions online. If you check out the following site and scroll down a bit you will see how to add the default gateway, or just search for *DFTROUTE on this link:

As for what gateway to use, my iseries is behind the router(RV016) in my main office so I used 192.168.0.1 Once I added that, the pc’s in my branch office’s were able to see the iseries. Hope that helps!
