On one of my PC that uses Access for Windows when I start the Display I also start the printer and it seems to blink the printer screen when starting. So times it just blinks and blinks and bli.nks. I loaded the latest fix, but it only happens on this one machine.

Does the print session ever work?
Is this a printer attached to their PC?
Windows version?

Yes the printer session works.
The printer is attached to the PC.

It seems when I start the Display session using the Batch job it starts the display first then the Printer. The display session becomes and inactive screen starts the printer then it flashes the printer screen and the display becomes active, but some times when using the display session the printer screen will blink in an out..

What do you have configured in the “Associate Printer” screen?
What was the Windows version of that PC?

The display is associated to the printer session I setup. Which is the printer sitting next to the PC.

I am using Windows XP on this system, all my other WIndows XP machines do not have this problem.

Here we have no personnel printers and most of our customer base is that way too.
There are a few with print sessions but I don’t recall anyone using this setup option.
I do like that you can setup the print session to start and end when their session does.
We’ve always copied the short cut for the print session into the startup folder to make this happen.

I would probably remove iSeries Access then install it again from the server.
You will not lose your settings.
